Some confusion seems to have struck the Internet about how the surname of the "Frostflower & Thorn" author ought to be spelled, with a landslide majority voting for "Kerr."

As the author in question, let me opine that, while both "Kerr" and "Carr" are excellent surnames, my own family has begun it with a "K" and an "A" since it was Karmilowicz (American pronunciation karMILLoWITS, Polish, karmeeWUHvitch). True, a cousin maintained that the "m" should be "n" and shortened his version of the name to Karnel (karNELL), but I never heard anyone in the family argue for "Ker..."

Seeing that a search on my name turns up what looks to me like a lot of entries (though no doubt minimal by Internet standards, and many of them surely about someone else), I have finally decided that one of them might as well be my own and thus -- dare I say? -- "official." After all, Teilhard de Chardin foresaw with relish a giant network of interpersonal connections, sounding almost as if he glimpsed the Internet years before it actually existed.

A Select Bibliography [Last update July 2003][N.B. In 2004, when my late husband starting showing symptoms of the disease that finally killed him late the following year, keeping up this bibliography, like my writing, pretty well ceased. Thus, there may be a gap between July 2003 and June 2008.]
